The following information is intended to help answer questions about Infiniti InTouch™ next-generation information technology system on the 2014 Infiniti Q50.
Infiniti InTouch™ is the all-new premium, digital environment in the Infiniti Q50, a fully customizable platform with app compatibility for Apple® iPhone® and Android™ smart phones. Infiniti InTouch™ controls the heater and air conditioner, audio, RearView/Around View® Monitor, navigation system (if so equipped), InTouch Apps, Bluetooth® Hands-free phone, etc. All these systems can be controlled using the upper and lower dual touch-screen displays, Infiniti controller, menu button and steering wheel switch.
Infiniti InTouch™ will be updated with future features and services as they are available within the coming months.
The Infiniti InTouch™ feature can provide the Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System with hands-free text messaging assistant and streaming audio, Infiniti Connection™ security and convenience services, including Infiniti Connection App, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, SiriusXM® Traffic and HD Radio.
Although smart phone app integration is not yet currently available, Infiniti InTouch™ was designed to be flexible and upgradable. Coming soon, Infiniti will be providing many new exciting features as Infiniti continues to enhance its vehicles and their capabilities. The first of these upgrades is a software reprogram which will add smart phone app connectivity via Infiniti InTouch™ Apps. Infiniti InTouch™ Apps connectivity, e-mail and calendar connectivity, SiriusXM® Travel Link, Interactive Quick Guide, and system performance enhancements are currently expected to be included in the upgrade.
Without this upgrade, the Infiniti InTouch™ system will continue to function, but the customer will not have access to some of these new features. The Infiniti InTouchTM Premium app package will be available by subscription later in the model year. The apps in this package will provide information for services such as restaurant reservations, traffic, sports news, and weather.
