NAVI System
On the 2013 LEAF® the NAVI system has been improved. For example, drivers can now search for a charging station near a city center or a specific address. With the Nissan LEAF® CARWINGS™ system, automatic updates of the charging station information occur monthly while the memory capacity of manual updates has been increased.
Note:
EV Navigation system with NissanConnection (powered by CARWINGS™ telematics) is not available on the S model.
Driving Range
The Driving Range screen will pinpoint the vehicle’s current location using the GPS, and then creates a simple map that illustrates the range of the customer’s Nissan LEAF® in real time. As they travel, the Driving Range will adjust to reflect the changing circumstances of the battery charge, based on current location and driving conditions.
Nearby Charging Stations
The NAVI system will display a map and list of nearby stations, based on the customer’s current location. After selecting one of the charging stations, the Navigation System lets the user know if that charging station is within driving range and if so, provides directions to that charging station.
Charging Station Availabilit
The new NAVI systems can provide Charging Station information displaying whether charging systems are currently in use or available.
Charging Station Information
The NAVI systems can display additional information about the charging station, for example if they’re equipped with quick chargers and/or standard chargers.
Calculate Route
The NAVI systems can calculate routes based on charging station locations and let the driver know when the State of Charge is insufficient to complete the entire trip.
Eco -route Guidance
Eco-route guidance calculates the most economical route in terms of energy usage by avoiding mountain roads, interstate highways, and freeways.
Usage and Energy Economy
The Energy and Usage Economy screen can display the vehicle’s current battery charge, and how much power the customer’s interior climate control and other systems are using. The electric motor meter indicates power usage during acceleration or regeneration, as well as during coasting or braking, as energy is converted back into the Li-ion battery. Based on all this information, the Energy Economy page offers efficiencyboosting tips.
Google™ Maps Send-To-Car
Google™ Maps Send-To-Car and Route Planner have been added to the Destination Menu. Points of Interest may require subscription and owner consent to activate. Certain services, including Google Points of Interest are provided by independent companies not within Nissan’s control. Should the service provider terminate/restrict services, the services may be suspended or terminated without notice or liability to Nissan and/or its agents.
