CONSULT III plus Software Update
The transition of reprogramming files into "CONSULT III plus" has been completed. With C-III plus, if a reprogramming interruption occurs, C-III plus has the ability to recover and complete the reprogramming, eliminating the need for ECU replacement resulting from reprogramming interruption. With this feature in C-III plus, technicians are hereby requested to stop all reprogramming using CONSULT III software.
C-III plus software now supports all OBDII models, going back as far as 1995MY. C-III plus can now be used to diagnose all models and model years that previously required either a C-II or C-III. C-III plus is the ONLY CONSULT that will support future models. See the vehicle charts for application details.
Important Note: C-II is required for some 2002-2006 Infiniti vehicles. Refer to these applicable bulletins:
- ITB06-010b: Y50 M35/M45 ICC Service campaign
- ITB06-011: JA60 QX56 with DTC C1179
If C-II is no longer available, you can utilize the "Reprogramming C-II Loaner Program".
- All future new models will require C-III plus, and as the above charts show, C-III plus replaces both the C-II and C-III by supporting all ODBII models.
