THE NEW 2016 MAXIMA® comes standard with a unique climate control feature that is incorporated into the Remote Engine Start on all model levels. Starting the vehicle with the Remote Engine Start with Intelligent Climate Control initiates the climate control temperature, fan speed, and air circulation mode for up to 10 minutes based on factory programming and ambient temperature.
Automatic temperature control activation depends on the ambient and cabin temperatures. During this period, the climate control display and buttons will be inoperable until the ignition switch is turned to the ON position.
HOW THE NEW FEATURE FUNCTIONS
During cold ambient temperatures below approximately 47º F (8º C), the climate control system automatically places the system in defrost mode, sets outlet temperatures above 47º F (8º C), and turns on the heated steering wheel and outside mirrors.
During mild or hot ambient temperatures, the climate control system starts A/C operation in automatic mode and sets the temperature to 75º F.
When the driver enters the vehicle and starts the engine, the HVAC settings revert to the customer’s previous settings.
NOTES:
• The Remote Engine Start function can be performed up to two times consecutively. The Intelligent Climate Control will operate each time the Remote Engine Start function is performed.
• Laws in some communities may restrict the use of remote starters. Check local regulations before using this feature.
