The new QX30 vehicles have POWER FOLDING EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRRORS, with heaters for defogging, and puddle lamps as standard equipment. The driver side exterior mirror also features an automatic anti-dazzling/auto dimming function. The QX30 Premium and Sport models can be equipped with REVERSE SYNCHRONIZATION MIRRORS as an option.
POWER FOLDING MIRRORS
The power folding mirror function allows the driver to fold the outside mirrors in and out without having to leave the vehicle. The outside rearview mirrors can also be set to automatically unfold when the ignition is switched ON or when the vehicle doors are unlocked.
MIRROR CONTROLS AND OPERATION
The power folding mirror function can be controlled by the door mirror remote control switch integrated in the power window main switch. Operation is simple. First turn the ignition switch to the ACC or ON position. Then, briefly push the power folding mirror switch to fold the exterior mirrors in or out.
To adjust the mirrors individually:
1. Select the left or right mirror.
2. Adjust the angle of each mirror to the desired position by operating the direction arrows on the large switch.
AUTOMATIC FOLDING FEATURE

AUTOMATIC PARKING POSITIONER
An automatic parking positioner function for the exterior door mirror on the front passenger side is available only if the vehicle is equipped with the Memory package.
The front passenger side exterior mirror can be set to automatically adjust so that the driver can see the rear wheel on the right passenger side as soon as reverse gear is engaged.
1. Make sure that the vehicle is stationary.
2. Place the ignition switch in the ON position.
3. Press the button to select the front passenger side mirror.
4. Now, move the shift lever to Reverse. The exterior mirror on the front passenger side moves to the previous preset parking position. Use the mirror adjustment button to adjust the exterior mirror until the rear wheel and the curb can be seen in the exterior mirror.
5. The new parking position is now stored.
NOTE:
EXTERIOR MIRROR DEFOGGING
The outside exterior rearview mirrors are equipped with heaters to help reduce moisture, fog or frost on the outside mirror surfaces to improve the rear view. This feature utilizes a heating wire built into the glass of the exterior mirrors that can be heated with the power supply from the rear window defogger relay. When the defroster switch is pushed, the indicator light illuminates and the defroster operates for several minutes. When the rear window defroster is operated, the door mirror defrosters are activated as well.
AUTOMATIC ANTI-DAZZLING FUNCTION
The driver side outside mirror is designed so that it automatically dims according to the intensity of the headlights of the following vehicle.
This function works with a sensor built inside the driver side exterior mirror that detects the amount of brightness of the headlights from the vehicle following behind. It then automatically changes the light transmission of the mirror to decrease the glare reflected in the mirror.
NOTE:
The Auto Anti-Dazzling Door Mirror (Driver side) function can be checked with CONSULT-III plus > (LEFT FRONT DOOR CONTROL UNIT) Active Test > Auto Anti-Dazzling Mirror operation.
DIAGNOSIS
In the event of an issue with the power folding function of the outside mirrors, a DTC code can be triggered, indicating the possibility of a few different errors.
These errors could include: an electrical malfunction, a mechanical failure, or an open circuit. The table indicates the different DTC codes you could see when diagnosing one of these issues (this applies to both LH and RH mirrors).
Possible causes of B1DFB-01 could include an electrical problem like:
Possible causes of B1DFB-07 could be damage, deformation or trapped foreign material binding the door mirror.
The possible causes of B1DFB-13 could include:
